Provides administrative secretarial and technical support to the Case Management Department. The Case Management Nurse Liaison manages the department schedules for Case Manager RNs, Social Workers and Mental Health Evaluators. This position acts as an ongoing computer resource for the department, trains new employees on various department software programs, assists with daily coordination of workloads, manages department inventory, compiles clinical data to assist RN Case Managers and the Director in the evaluation and improvement of patient care. Assists Director with insurance appeals, arranges staff meetings, luncheons and educational in-services.
Licensed Practical Nurse. Oregon License required.
Previous Case Management experience preferred. 3-5 years of experience in nursing required. Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of internal and external customers. This includes, but is not limited to: medical staff, patients and families, clinical personnel, support and technical staff, outside agencies and members of the community. Ability to establish rapport quickly with diverse patient populations and to maintain professionally ethical standards in all patient/family interactions. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to work independently. Ability to exercise good time management skills. Proficiency in assessing, planning and coordinating patient care. Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment. Computer skills; including proficiency in word processing, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. Competent in oral, written and electronic communication. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced, changing environment.
