JOB SUMMARY:

Performs all routine and most special laboratory tests, participates in quality control and quality assurance programs, care and maintenance of equipment, assists in keeping test methods and procedures current. May be responsible for a section for the department. Identifies the difference in age specific needs.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL/LICENSING:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in training and experience as outlined in CLIA and Oregon State Health Department Regulations and MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be ASCP certified or eligible. Preferred experience as a generalist with additional experience in immunhematology. Position requires the ability to work as a generalist in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and limited microbiology. Must be able to work well as team member and have excellent multi-tasking skills. Primary shift is evenings with possible rotation on other shifts as needed.
