Bayfront Health's Nurse Residency program is designed to include approximately 16 weeks of preceptor guidance and mentoring in a particular Acute Care nursing unit in exchange for an 24 month commitment as fulltime Acute Care RN upon successful completion of the residency program which includes:
Assigned preceptor on the unit and continuous support with the Clinical Education team
An e-learning curriculum that is relevant and immediately applicable at the bedside (ex. Patient Satisfactions and HCAHPS, Medication Safety, Skin & Pressure Ulcers, Fall Prevention, Sepsis, Surgical Care, etc)
Classroom education offering CEUs
General Practice Track - Medical Surgical, Med Tele, Ortho Surgical
Progressive Care Track - Progressive Care, Intermediate Trauma, Neurosciences
Critical Care Track - CVICU, CCU
Trauma Intensive Care - Trauma ICU, Neuro ICU
Tracks are determined based on education (BSN preferred), clinical experience, academic achievement, and previous work experience.
All positions will require day shift availability (unrestricted on days of the week) for training, and then night shift availability for the clinical component and on-going.
Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited School of Nursing
Have a current Florida RN license by July 16th
BLS certification required
