RN – Cardiac Telemetry

Registered Nurses are responsible for coordinating and overseeing care delivered with an interdisciplinary approach, utilizing the nursing process which includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. They direct and provide patient teaching activities, and maintain standards of professional nursing practice. Nurses ensure documentation of records is accurate, complete and complies with all policies and procedures.They participate in efforts to improve patient care through education, Quality and Safety initiatives, and provide leadership direction and guidance to ancillary staff, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

  • R.N. Graduate from a School of Nursing

  • Current, active Florida Nursing License

  • BLS (American Heart Association) required

Skills/Experience:

  • 2 years previous experience in Cardiac Telemetry preferred

  • Ability to communicate with patients, staff and visitors in a concerned andcaring way

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information

  • Willingness to accept responsibility

  • Ability to perform under stressful conditions

  • Ability to direct ancillary staff and organize work assignments

  • Leadership skills essential

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
