Community Health Systems RN-Clinical Coordinator-ICU-FT-Day Shifts in Vicksburg, Mississippi
Reporting to the Manager/Director, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the daily functional management of the assigned unit operations, services and the measured results for all aspects of the unit. The Clinical Coordinator provides direct support service functions and activities aligned with unit patient care objectives.
Completion of clinical advanced training program applicable to unit is required.
One (1) year of hospital/medical office scheduling experience and understanding of medical terminology is strongly preferred. Must be able to enter staffing as required. Must be able to access needed follow-through on scheduling changes and updates as related to procedures and/or diagnostic testing. Must demonstrate ability to develop and maintain strong interdepartmental working relationships with the Medical Staff, Department Leaders, and Hospital Staff throughout the facility. Must exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills throughout patient and family populations the facility serves. Must be capable of working independently and autonomously. Position requires working knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Excel and scheduling software.
Maintain current clinical licensure and/or certifications relevant to position (e.g. LPN state licensure, surgical technician certifications). BLS Certification is required (or within 30 days of hire into the department); required unit specific certifications (e.g. CPI, ACLS) as designated by clinical position.
