Community Health Systems Clinical Nurse Educator - FTE 1.0 Days in Watsonville, California


A registered nurse with a current California license will assume the responsibilities of coordinating clinical staff education, serving as a resource/consultant to clinical departments and facilitating patient and community education. The Clinical Educator will participate in hospital-wide education and training as delegated and to provide quarterly/yearly unit based skills stations. Will provide education regarding updates and/or changes to clinical processes as needed. Will be responsible for nursing student affiliations. Must have extensive working experience with EHR: Centricity, MedHost, and eMAR. The Clinical educator will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. Must have critical care experience.


Three to five years experience as a nurse in an acute care setting. At least 2 years of Critical Care or Emergency Department experience within the last 5 years. Demonstrated competency in teaching. Experience in instruction/education required. Knowledge of adult learning principles required. Evidence of creativity, integrity, initiative and leadership skills. Highly effective written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume department. Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume department. Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational programs. Possess cooperative working skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide variety of staff. Must be willing to rotate through all shifts to accommodate all staff in educational learning's.

Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Minimum Bachelors in Nursing preferred Master s degree, MSN. Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS.
