Community Health Systems Environmental Services Aide - Per Diem - Varied in Watsonville, California
Under the direction of the Director of Hospitality Services and/or his or her designee, the Environmental Services Aide is responsible for performing cleaning of patient and non-patient care areas throughout the facility to ensure that they are in a high state of cleanliness at all times. In addition to this, some duties include floor care and medical and non-medical waste disposal. To perform other duties as assigned. Plans, coordinates and manages all phases of the Hospitals Housekeeping Program, including quality control, the detailed preparation of operating budget enforcement of established codes and standards, preparation of contract documents and the execution of department projects as directed.
Education: High School graduate or GED required. Must have the ability to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions given in English. Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
Experience: One year of housekeeping experience required. One year of hospital-based housekeeping preferred.
Lic/Cert: Certificate in a recognized housekeeping or floor care program preferred.
