Vista Health System is a community healthcare provider; a network that includes Vista Medical East campus and the Vista Lindenhurst campus that includes Vista Ambulatory Care Center, Lindenhurst Surgery Center, LLC, a freestanding Emergency Center and the Medical Office Building. The Vista Health system also has several locations for imaging, patient therapy and physician offices throughout Lake County, Illinois.
Vista Health System is interested in hiring a Staffing Coordinator for the Nursing units. This individual will coordinate staffing, scheduling, time-keeping for the Nursing division as well as other duties as assigned.
Shift: Full-Time, Days
Communicate with unit managers/directors and house supervisors to understand staffing needs and identify challenges.
Maintain and distribute staffing grids
Format and publish staffing schedules for ICU, PCU, 5W, 4W, 3W and Nursing Flex Pool and other departments as requested
Review daily schedules to determine staffing gaps; communicate scheduling status to nursing leadership. Prepare with nurse leaders any variance explanations
Perform in a liaison role with finance departments on analytical reporting, variance reporting, etc.
Identify and contact flex, per diem and other alternative personnelto maintain appropriate staff levels.
Compile and publish House Supervisor schedule
Compile and publish daily census and staffing reports.
Provide administrative support for Nursing Administration, including, but not limited to Clinical Supervisors, Directors, Managers, and Sr. Director Nursing Services. This may include transcribing minutes, policy prep, etc.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Associate degree; Bachelor s degree preferred.
2 year s administrative support in a hospital environment
Good communication and computer skills.
Use of computer programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Kronos
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
